SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz expands its financial regulatory practice with Dr Carsten Lösing

SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz is strengthening its growing financial regulatory practice in Frankfurt with the renowned financial services regulatory lawyer and anti-money laundering expert Dr Carsten Lösing.

Dr Carsten Lösing has more than 15 years of experience in financial services regulatory law and money laundering prevention. Most recently, he was an associated partner at a national law firm and before that a local partner/counsel at a major international law firm, advising banks, insurance companies, payment institutions, fintech companies and asset managers on financial regulatory issues. Before qualifying as a lawyer, Dr Lösing worked for over three years in a leading German banking consultancy and completed secondments in the legal departments of two major international banks during his time as a lawyer.

Dr Carsten Lösing will be based at SZA's Frankfurt office as counsel and will strengthen the financial regulatory law team, which was built up by Dr Martin Gross-Langenhoff. The team also includes Dr Peter Hemeling, the former long-standing General Counsel of Allianz, as of-counsel. At the beginning of the year, SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz already added to the bench of its financial services regulatory team by promoting Dr Andreas Herr from its own ranks to partner. With the addition of Dr Lösing, SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz is now broadening its service offering particularly in the area of anti-money laundering law at the location of the new European Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorist Financing Authority (AMLA) in Frankfurt.
