SZA Schilling, Zutt & Anschütz, with a team led by Dr. Christoph Nolden, has advised the Indian automotive industry supplier Imperial Auto Industries Limited on the acquisition of the business operations of Metallwerk Biebighäuser GmbH, which is currently being restructured. The transaction also comprised the affiliated companies Biebighäuser Kunststofftechnik GmbH and Biebighäuser Slovakia s.r.o.

Metallwerk Biebighäuser GmbH, based in Leverkusen, was founded in 1932 and specializes in the production of metal tube assemblies for the automotive industry. The company supplies key components to some of Europe's largest OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), including Volkswagen, BMW and Mercedes.

Imperial Auto is the largest manufacturer of fluid transfer products in India with more than 20 production facilities in all major automotive clusters in India as well as in the USA and Germany.

The transaction further expands Imperial Auto's presence in Europe, unlocks significant sales potential and strengthens its positioning to serve the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) components.
